I took my dad down to Columbus, IN today for a nice breakfast for his birthday. Actually, we flew up to Sheridan first and landed on a grass strip so he could see how cool that was, then headed down to Columbus. Never mind that the extra miles helped make it cross-country in the log book… But in all seriousness we had an amazing time. I’ve had my license for 17 years and I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve taken my dad up. It was a smooth flight and we had a blast. I think he’s even more excited now about the plane I’m building, which is great because I’m counting on his expertise to help me spray on the primer!
It’s always nice to have a day like this to break up the build and remind you why you fly. Excellent day!
