CONTROL APPROACH RUDDER PEDALS
There are many reasons why I am swapping out my rudder pedals. The simplest of course is “because I want to.” I have opted for the Control Approach rudder pedals for my plane. The design is incredible and I certainly consider it an upgrade over the stock system. Van’s system uses two horizontal bars that transverse the entire cockpit with the brake cylinders mounted almost forward facing. The Control Approach system is smaller, gritty pedals with rear-mounted brake cylinders and a single transverse rod. They line up great and are aesthetically pleasing as well. Overall, I’m incredibly happy with the look, the design, the engineering, and the ease of installation. I highly recommend this rudder pedal system from that standpoint (updates once I’m flying as well of course).
I still need to add all of the brake lines and such, but this is just a first glimpse at the installation. Again, it was pretty straightforward so not much detail in the build description this time. Sorry!
