WHERE WERE YOU WHEN YOU GOT A HANGAR?

It may seem like overkill, but I am pretty psyched. My local airport had 42 people on the waiting list for a hangar when I first signed up 18 months ago. I was expecting this to take much longer, so needless to say I am pleasantly surprised. My family was unpacking the truck for a 5 day camping trip when I got the call. I was amazed it even went through. We were setting up camp on a hillside that must have had just enough elevation to get a signal. I took the call and said I’d be home in 5 days to sign the lease.
HOME SWEET HOME

I took this picture before the leasing agent even showed up. Have I mentioned I’m excited yet? This is amazing. I got a hangar. Now it is time to move in. Here are a few fun pictures of moving in.

My youngest daughter was almost as excited as me to get moved in. We brought an old refrigerator, a spare light tree, a trash can, and a new push broom right away. There will be much, much more in the coming days, but creature comforts first I suppose.
BUILDING A FEW EXTRA WORK TABLES

I am looking forward to having all of this space. In order to maximize it, I want to have an extra set of work tables. Naturally, I built another set of EAA 1000 work tables. I cannot recommend these enough. This makes tables three and four. Tables one and two will be coming soon to join this pair and make for a powerhouse workshop. Have I mentioned how excited I am yet? I got a hangar.
